Why I became a booger

That photo is toooo much but how true some you tell you are a blogger and they think something is wrong and it might be catchy…LOL

I had met some people that had a website and I thought it would be cool to have one. I had one in previous years but had accidentally lost the name and the website… oops

It had been a while and I was told there was some new CMS (Content Management System) platforms out there that were really cool but had just started and was open source programming. Things had come a long way since college and the programming I had learned! I had been searching around the web for a one word domain name and I found Wrongblog. I tried WordPress and screwed it up and had to delete everything and start over I think it was WP 1.0 it’s been a while ago. I finally got somewhat of a grasp and started blogging for fun pretty much just about anything and everything then some people asked if they could give it a try so Wrongblog the open blog project had begun – everyone was welcome to use the blog. It became very popular fast and many had done guest blog posts there are some real funny ones 13 letters of the alphabet I hate… a must read!

As time went by I noticed that there were not many places to get your blog noticed or advertise, so to speak, to get readers so I thought I would create a place for bloggers to hang out and let everyone know who they are. At this point I was hooked on blogging and creating BlogDumps. I never thought I would have lasted this long blogging and finding the time to work on BlogDumps everyday… But as I have said, Hi – My name is Wolfbernz… I am a blogging junky, be careful or I will get you hooked. In fact I will give you a free blog on my server…LOL 😀 Just try it!!!

Then I decided I needed my own blog and a place to help others get on the web so I came up with Wolfbernz.com – My own little spot. I don’t get much time to blog I have so many other things to do on the web each day. I guess that’s why I like Top Sites Tuesday I set aside time at least once a week for just my own little tidbit 🙂

So why did I become a booger, well just because I could and thought it would be fun and it has been and I have gone way further then I ever had imagined. It has been great! I have made friends all over the world, read so many interesting things that I might have missed out on, commented on bloggers blogs when they were down and needed a smile. It has been very rewarding – not monetarily that’s for sure I have spent a – well you get the idea BlogDumps hasn’t been cheap lets put it that way. When the site makes money I put it right back into it to make it better each time. In fact I have some programmers helping me with all the new updates. It is nice to be able to have some help and not have to try to do it all like in the beginning 🙂

What I hear out my window

I guess it depends on what time of day it is around here – I do love the quiet in the evenings all you can hear is a few crickets and some frogs.Country life is nice especially during the summer.

When it is feeding time though the wolves can be a bit on the noisy side a few howls etc…LOL

The mornings are quiet most of the time, when it is dry you can hear the irrigation pumps running and the tractors scurrying around. The farmers do love to get up early around here! I think they enjoy working at night I guess because it is much cooler than during the day.

Every now and then during the night, when it is nice out and I have my bedroom window open, I am visited by a hoot owl…LOL All night long he wants to know Hoo Hooo sometimes I yell at him and tell him I don’t know Hoo! He seems to stay a few days and then moves on and doesn’t come back for awhile!

No rest for the wicked… LOL

This is toooo much! I had a rush job in the shop this morning so no coffee and no easy chair today!

I kept singing that song “No Rest For The Wicked” I don’t know why, it’s only Tuesday and I feel like I have worked a full week already!

Now I have to run out the door and get to the newspaper before the deadline to make this weeks publication 🙂
OMG… It’s a go go go day!

Second thought Get Coffee!!!

What’s on the refrigerator

I guess if I was the one who did the cooking around the house I could lay clam to the fridge here in the house!

I do have a refrigerator though it’s a nice one lots of space a side by side door assembly.
On the outside it has some cool stickers, the kind one would see in a mechanics shop and on top of the refrigerator is a stack of moving blankets… a piece of wood and a folded piece of plastic 🙂

I know you are asking, “What the heck Wolf?”

This is the fridge in my shop… I don’t use it but to keep things from freezing in the winter it’s more of a storage cabinet…LOL I have paints and glue etc. in it. I have used it in the past to cool sodas and waters during the summer but I haven’t done anything but use it for storage this year.

Two Thoughts

As I sit here gazing out the window from the easy chair this morning I have to wonder what and why our system is so screwy. We have a Jeep in the family a, well, used to be nice one… Rolled,crashed and badly bruised.

No one was hurt but when I talked to the police officer there was a ticket issued for negligent driving. So now you want to know what happened.

My son was coming home from his girl friends house. I told him to be home early, he’s a good kid so he was doing just that. He was on a back country road (one of many in our area) he looked at the radio to see the time and when he looked up a car was going to hit him head-on. So he did what we would all do – swerved and went for the ditch on the side figuring a ditch wouldn’t hurt so bad. That and the jeep being a monster jeep he would have probably ended up driving over them and someone would have been hurt bad. The jeep went up the embankment and flipped over. My son was ok but we sent him to the hospital anyway. So that’s what happened.

Now Thought number two. I asked the not-so-kind officer why he was given a ticket? He replied… “He looked at the radio and didn’t keep his eyes on the road at all times so he was negligent”… But had he hit the other car it would be there fault. (They just left him there and kept going)

So, Hmmmm The clock is on the radio do you think the officer ever looks at his clock or radio? How about speedometers so the next time I get pulled over for a speeding ticket do I just say I didn’t want to be a negligent driver so I didn’t look? What about the driver who has a stick shift and misses a gear – I guess you just grind ’em till you find ’em!

I talked to the insurance company and low and behold they said the same thing and then they asked how fast was he driving… OMG, you have to be kidding like I am going to tell you he looked down at the speedometer too!

The officer told my son it was his honesty that got him the ticket and never tell anyone you took your eyes off the road for any reason. I told the not-so-kind officer if I ever have a situation like this you can bet I will make sure do scrape the whole side of the car that was going to hit me so I can avoid being charged with such a ridiculous ticket and I want to thank him for teaching my son to lie to get out of a ticket. I just don’t get it.

I called yesterday to find out where the vehicle was and the insurance lady said “We thought you had the car.” Then she said “No we have the car.” Then she said “No it is being towed to the collision center tomorrow.” Then she said “Wow this happened last month, this has been a drawn out ordeal! We have cut a check for the damage but we haven’t checked the motor and under carriage the garage has to do that so we will do a supplemental payment if it costs more…”

Sorry, Third thought &%$#$##@@! I replied nicely yes, yes it has been long and drawn out… I will call the collision center tomorrow.

Two Thoughts On Tuesday

We have been invaded…

Yes that’s right they are low flying (not very good) have no radar and are everywhere! One cannot go out side without protection, have you guessed who they are?

Japanese beetles! They are all over the farm. They absolutely get the ‘Worst Flying’ award… You can hear them hit the side of the house, the windows and you if you happen to be walking through the yard. The airplane bombed a couple farms over and ran them all this direction and if you go outside they fly so bad they will run right into you or anything in its path. If there were not so many it would almost be comical 🙂 We ran around and sprayed (natural chemicals of course) all of our vegetables and ran in the house so we wouldn’t get hit. I thought about wearing my motorcycle helmet outside today but then Trina made the joke that I should wear a helmet all the time anyway so I said forget it… I’m going for it, I am going to just run to the shop.

Of course it hasn’t rained in a month and I have to go to one of the construction jobs and take new kitchen countertops there so it has been raining for two days… LOL You all can thank me for this later… Hehehe
It always seem to go this way if it can’t get wet it rains isn’t that like Murphys law? So I am off to work I have a busy day first my web site work and then my second job, remodeling houses… I guess its just good to be working now days 🙂

Tuesday Once Again

Yes it’s Top Sites Tuesday again this week. The weeks seem to go faster and faster don’t you think?

My first thought is I have so much to do I don’t know where to start!?! I guess this is just as good a place as any… LOL

I really do not want to go out side today and do any work it is very hot and humid here! But of course I have so much to do outside. I need to get ready for tomorrow, we start a new construction job and I need to round up all the tools and repair a few things from the last job. So it’s shorts and a white T Shirt for today 🙂 I have a ton of paper work to do but I will do it this afternoon as it becomes way too hot to be out there. I can hear Trina now “Where’s your water? You need to drink lots of water while you are out there.”

My second thought just arrived while writing this post. It was an email from a company in China. We are talking about partnering up and making life a bit safer here in the USA for the DIY wind turbine maker. Some of the parts being sold are not UL Listed. They do work but no one has ever tested and had them approved for use in the United States. So I am working to make this happen. It would be great and it would save many from injury and possibly even save someone from being killed due to the safety issues.

I know some of you are like “China?” Well, I tried to get an American company, a Canadian company, a UK company and you know the rest, they all don’t care about the DIY guy. They have what they have to offer and if you don’t like it OH Well… Anyone that has come to know me knows that is unacceptable so I asked around in China and found a great company that is willing to produce what I have made and put my company’s name on it so we can get it UL Listed. As soon as other companies see our product and how well we do, I am sure they will come knocking but I’m not answering the door – so there… 😀 OMG I just did the na nana booboo I feel two years old! Sorry, I didn’t expect that oops a little rant…LOL

So I guess I am off to get the many things done today I hope to finish early today and beat the heat!
