Tuesday Once Again

Yes it’s Top Sites Tuesday again this week. The weeks seem to go faster and faster don’t you think?

My first thought is I have so much to do I don’t know where to start!?! I guess this is just as good a place as any… LOL

I really do not want to go out side today and do any work it is very hot and humid here! But of course I have so much to do outside. I need to get ready for tomorrow, we start a new construction job and I need to round up all the tools and repair a few things from the last job. So it’s shorts and a white T Shirt for today 🙂 I have a ton of paper work to do but I will do it this afternoon as it becomes way too hot to be out there. I can hear Trina now “Where’s your water? You need to drink lots of water while you are out there.”

My second thought just arrived while writing this post. It was an email from a company in China. We are talking about partnering up and making life a bit safer here in the USA for the DIY wind turbine maker. Some of the parts being sold are not UL Listed. They do work but no one has ever tested and had them approved for use in the United States. So I am working to make this happen. It would be great and it would save many from injury and possibly even save someone from being killed due to the safety issues.

I know some of you are like “China?” Well, I tried to get an American company, a Canadian company, a UK company and you know the rest, they all don’t care about the DIY guy. They have what they have to offer and if you don’t like it OH Well… Anyone that has come to know me knows that is unacceptable so I asked around in China and found a great company that is willing to produce what I have made and put my company’s name on it so we can get it UL Listed. As soon as other companies see our product and how well we do, I am sure they will come knocking but I’m not answering the door – so there… 😀 OMG I just did the na nana booboo I feel two years old! Sorry, I didn’t expect that oops a little rant…LOL

So I guess I am off to get the many things done today I hope to finish early today and beat the heat!

Two Thoughts

As you can see I haven’t been writing again… Life and work just seem to get in the way.
I guess that’s why I like Top Sites Tuesday I get a chance to just write 🙂

My first thought is that it has been so nice out the last few days I have been working until I am thoroughly exhausted.

I posted a week or so ago that I was almost finished with the Porsche 911 and, well, it’s looking good all the snow is gone, it has been spring like weather so since I am 99.0 percent finished I was able to take it out of the work shop and wash it and get it fired up 🙂 I hope the weather holds out so I can take the maiden voyage! Here is a photo all washed up and ready to go.

My second thought is Butt Dialing is funny when it happens during the day… Butt dialing, oh that’s where your phone is in your pocket and you call people and don’t know it…. Some funny conversations can be heard and it becomes great entertainment. When it happened yesterday I said “hello, hello, Hello, Helllooooooo this is your butt talking please turn the phone off” and I heard a voice say “uh oh” and turned the phone off. I had it on speaker so we could all have a good laugh on the job. I have one person that has me on speed dial and butt dialed me this morning at 6:30 am! OMG I am never getting a blackberry or a phone without a cover! I can’t imagine Butt dialing someone and not knowing I am on the phone while talking and driving in the car with other people.

Aunt Michelle if you are reading this I hope Wendy’s was good the other day but you should have got the Chili too! I was trying to tell you but I guess I was in your purse! 🙂 And Aunt Chris you sing very well with the radio and you were very polite to the gas station man too.

My first thought is I wish I had more time to blog instead of all this work… But I guess there is no choice but to work or one doesn’t eat 🙂 As I sit here and put my shoes on I’m looking outside and I see that it has rained but there is still snow on the ground so it should be a nice mushy mess all the way into work today. Oh how I could just stay right here and enjoy the peace and quiet and, well take a nap… I know I just got up! But I ate breakfast so a nap would be great. LOL

I just finished getting ready to go and I thought about what a wonderful day it was on Sunday. The sun was warm and strong… Oh it felt so good when it hit our faces! We all laughed and said “What’s that bright light in the sky?” I spent the day with my daughter-in-law and my grandson. We hung out on the farm for a while, then went to lunch at Chilies. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes for the kid – he’s at the soft food stage now. The mashed potatoes had a whipped butter and garlic flavor and every time he would take a bite he would close his eyes, raise his eyebrows and go “MMMMMM” and then smile real big!

Then it was off to Kohls to get a new fuzzy whatever. I had to laugh when he found a pair of PJ’s (in his size LOL) and had the death grip on them. It was so cute! So then we are walking toward the register to check out and this little tiny girl walks by, as she does he turns his head eyes her and smiles from ear to ear! I wish I had a video camera with me it was the cutest thing you would have ever seen. I don’t think he was flirting, he was showing off his pj’s, but it looked as though he was. So I guess my second thought is I better get to work and forget the nap so we can go do something again this coming weekend.

He loves the cart where they sit in the front and zoom 🙂

Two Thoughts on Tuesday

My first random thought of the day… I look out side this morning and see shingles all over the farm. The birds are chirping a Red Cardinal, a Blue Jay and a woodpecker… Yes a woodpecker! It’s like Woody with a bright red head and brown body – beautiful! The storm must be over, we had lots of rain and super high winds here. Trina keeps asking “How’s that windmill coming?” 🙂 Luckily I had picked up all the chairs and things that would fly away, well most of them, some deck chairs blew all the way to the horse pasture! So this will be my project this week to fix the broken shingles… Does it ever end? LOL It’s like a spring day outside today the sun is shining, finally.

My second thought today is work. I know I shouldn’t have said that, it’s a bad word to most… but I am off to the local newspaper to put an ad in for the John Deere Lawn tractor I rebuilt. It has a snow plow on the front so I had better get it in the paper before all the snow is gone for the year. This was a fun project it seemed as though every time I would fix one thing, something else would break… I so want to move on to my new project.

Then it is off to work. Oh! There’s that word again! It is a construction day for me. I am remodeling a house and grading a lot that has been mostly under water for about a month now… Talk about muddy shoes and all, Yuck. The good thing is I am winning. After this last storm there was little water under the house compared to the water up to the floor boards each rain. I don’t have much left inside, a few pieces of base board and some electrical work to do, the lady of the house is buying a new chandelier for the dining room. Then I will finish my day working on some web sites, I hope have time to work in the shop today but I did that last night until late so I probably wont. Have a great Tuesday everyone, Ill be by later today to visit.
