Top Sites Tuesday #101

My first thought was I didn’t think I could manage to pull off doing a Top Sites Tuesday while traveling but we seemed to get to Mexico faster than I thought we would. It was a great flight, no problems, good take offs and landings… I can’t ask for much more.

So this whole thing started last Saturday when I spent the whole weekend mowing and cleaning up the farm. I think I had mowed about seven acres and then I weed-eated for about three hours, then used roundup – gallons worth everywhere all over the farm and all the fence lines.

Then I sat down on the deck look at Trina where she was planting all the flowers and vegetables and I through my hands in the air and said… GOD GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!

Later the same night I get a call from a satellite phone, a voice on the other end says, “Dude, I am in the Sea of Cortez hiding behind an island and I need help!” I said “What is the problem?” He had been hurt and needed help to deliver his sailboat from there to California. I thought for a moment and said “When do I need to be there?” Eight days is the window… Hmmmmm how can I get ready to go in eight days! So I managed to pull it off and you will not believe where I have landed! Do prayers get answered? You tell me. We have the boat in a marina, Puerto Los Cabos, and right next to where this photo was taken. I think my prayer was answered. So we will be going for about two weeks with good weather to get this finished.

Second thought, it is super hot here and where did all the mosquitoes come from? OMG!!! It has changed so much from when we were here in winter! Everything is dry and hot but the bugs have come out in full force I am prepared though, I have those shirts that have bug repellant in them so I will be OK while we are here by land. We leave today to do a short hop around the corner to the Pacific.
