Top Sites Tuesday Meme #46 -Two Thoughts

I don’t know about you all, but I like Top Sites Tuesday because it’s fun to blog and as you can see I don’t get a lot of time to do it… Life somehow gets in the way… 🙂

I am back in the easy chair… It’s Tuesday, I got up today! I made it all the way to the easy chair…lol
My first thought was I need to just sit here after all I feel as though I have been in a car accident. I have been on the tractor for a few days now digging out the farm making roads so we can get in and out of here. I had wished I had dug out some of last weeks snow I would have had about five inches less to dig but with four wheel drive we don’t worry about five inches. As I look out the window this morning I really don’t want to even go outside today.

See who wants to go outside!?

Well it’s about 8:30 am I know I am up early today… hehehe I have no choice I have to move fast… as I mentioned before I don’t want to do anything but I have to get materials to one of the construction jobs asap, it’s going to snow again…YIKES they say another 8 to 12 inches and then again on Saturday. OMG Where oh where is spring? I hope it comes early this is a bit overwhelming, we don’t get snow like this here, that’s why I live here we always get the good weather! Oh well! I guess we were due this year.

I cant say it has been all work, my son and I bought an old Jeep with a snow plow and before the storm we put it in the shop and we worked on getting it ready. We didn’t make it for this storm but I finished it yesterday at the end of the day so it’s ready for today’s storm… It’s a beast! I tried it out yesterday… Hmmmm that is why I feel like I have been in a car accident I had to crash into a few snow drifts to make sure it was up to the job *rolls neck around* Yep that’s it! It is ready, the beast hit the drift spun to the side and flew to a stop. I just knew I had to be stuck but they had beefed up the motor and transmission and it had all been rebuilt before we bought it from the local hospital. I put it in reverse and it came out with a growl so of course I had to do it a few more times… It’s a guy thing.

The Snow Beast!

I took some photos one was by Trina when I was starting to dig out during the first part of the storm.

I would take the rain… Oh Wait, then all this snow would melt! What a mess that would be!

The snow looks so pretty though in those pictures! We had a good amount of it down here (in VA), too. I enjoyed laying in it like I was laying on the beach. But I agree about the clean up part…man, I never realized how tiring it could be to shovel off the snow off my small walkway and porch! I felt so winded after scooping some out…but I wanted to make sure our mail carrier would be safe. I even put yellow caution boards out to make sure people who came by watched their steps.

Well, you guys stay safe out there! My in-laws are in Maryland and they are expecting that extra snow, too!!!

The picture of the tree with the sun behind it is fantastic. We have friends in VA that have been sending us pictures … the snow is above the mail boxes. They moved for CA to be near the grandkids, so they really suffer through this kind of winter. It was about 70 degrees here in AZ today.
