Summer Favorites

I have so many Summer time favorite! Like mowing all the grass on the farm…LOL… NOT!!!

I do love the time we spend with friends like Trina posted on her blog, it does make it all worth the hard work we put in each week!

I have to say my most favorite outing this summer (besides trying to get the flying monkey off my face…LOL I know I wasn’t supposed to say that…hehehe)

So my favorite outing this summer was the trip to Hershey Farm in Strasbourg, Pennsylvania.

It is so much fun there! I love the Amish country it’s so very relaxing and peaceful! We visited the Railroad Museum and had a wonderful time checking out the country side and riding the Choo-Choo Train with My grandson.

So Some Things Are Still Free!

Today my youngest daughter has gone out to get a job and we needed a social security card. Of course I could not find it anywhere and neither could she.

So I sent her on a quest today to get a new Social Security card. She had never been on that side of town (let alone drive herself and go alone) so I was on the phone helping her on her quest to get a new one double checking to make sure she had everything… Thinking it would be like the DMV – she may have to make more then one trip.

Anyway she made it to the social security office and then I realized I had not sent her with any money! I was like OMG this will be it – the second trip!

I asked her if she had any money with her and she asked -“Do they take Visa” I laughed and said, “Honey they are the government they will take whatever you have!”

Update: 3:30 pm, I get the call. I figured she would say she needed something to complete this however I learned today that there are still some services that don’t cost any money and it is free to get a new Social Security Card.

Well after a few power naps I am back to the grindstone having a better time with it all. I am glad all the server stuff went off without a hitch.

I don’t get to write much, all the other sites keep me busy so I hope I don’t bore you with my life as an internet designer and web site builder. I guess I should throw in some photos of the creative wood working I do also, I’ll try to find some photos to share with you all.

As some of you already know, we were doing maintenance on our servers last night – so if you visited between the hours of 2AM and 5AM EST this morning you might have noticed that sites in the Wolfbernz network were down.

Not to worry though! All the work has been completed overnight and we are up and running! This was a good move for us we are now in a data center with enough back up power to run a small city. I have something positive to write about today…lol …. everything is all still running, I didn’t kill the site and we are in a better than ever data center.

Here are the technical details:

Our current data center, the entire 9th floor of 56 Marietta Street in Atlanta, has served us well over the years and has been as stable as we could have ever asked for…but as is the case with anything in the world of computers there are newer, better, faster technologies available today that we want our customers to be able to utilize. Our new data center gives us true N+1 redundancy on all critical components from the big things like generators and UPS systems all the way down to the pumps that push water to the air conditioners. All of the latest advances in hosting require two common ingredients…power and cooling. Our new center gives us many times the amount of both in our current facility. At the final phase of build out this center will boast 12 Megawatts of power, or enough to power a small city…redundantly

Another Monday!

Well this Monday has been much better than the last few.

It has been really busy working on the web lately. I have new sites almost ready for sale each with a blog attached – I hope to be finished with them this week. I have had a lot of fun over on BlogDumps it really makes working on the web a lot of fun. I guess it’s my playground so to speak, it takes the everyday coding and creating sites and online stores for people off my plate and let’s me have a good time.

I noticed I have been getting so many emails advertising so many get rich schemes and OMG I have won every lotto from here to Germany! If it were true I would be wealthier than Oprah!!! And what’s with all the pills? Don’t these people have anything better to do!? I guess so many people fall for this baloney that’s what keeps them going.

So the grandson is doing well he is such a cutie! We are going to Hershey Farms to take the weekend off and have a good time I can’t wait, I could use a break! If you’ve never been and are looking for a quiet, relaxing get-away with lots of things to see.. go to Hershey Farms outside of Strasbourg, Pennsylvania.

Two Things On Tuesday

As I sit here writing my top sites Tuesday I find that I try to please so many people all the time and I worry until I can’t stand it! We just can’t do everything we set out to do every day. Be it our kids, Grand kids, work etc… including all the things that go on in our daily lives!

So sometimes we just have to sit back take a breath and just be yourself and do what you can do. It all works out in the end for the best. Have a great Tuesday, I thought this song was just fitting for me today!

Monday’s You Gatta Lov’em

Why is it that Monday seems to be the hardest one to get started?
Is it because we already know it’s going to be difficult…
So far this Monday hasn’t been bad so I can’t complain, I did want to sleep in though…lol
I went to church again with my new grandson, I was never really a church goer but I wanted to be with the little man so off I went. I have a couple of Photos to share with you. I just have to figure out how to scan them in this fancy printer here at the office and then upload them! I am off to the printer this should be fun…lol

Well this list could go on forever I love to eat…

I am not a big eater anymore I can’t be… I would be a food junky if I could… lol

So I kind of choose what works for me. A tender juicy rib or Southern Brisket – Even a Prime Rib for dinner works for me but I would like to top that off with the fried bananas and coffee ice cream – I just asked Trina what kind of Booze they put in this and she said Oh, So you haven’t read my post yet!

Anyway it’s rum and I am not changing my favorite dessert just because she beat me to it… I guess that just means it’s gooood, I had to go read the post…lol I’ll have to comment later or I won’t get mine published!

I can’t believe I am so late, it has been crazy around here! So much to moderate and work on – but that’s a good thing. There are a lot of us that don’t get the luxuries that we have or even get to eat for that matter. I know this is always supposed to be upbeat but as I write this, I feel as though it is something that needed to be said. If you know of someone in need and that has asked you for help lend a hand. If you see someone and they look gloomy give them the gift of a smile it just might make their day!
