Wow what a wind and rain storm…
First thought as I head out the door to go to work today is OMG does it have to be this windy, really!?
Last night I bet it hit sixty plus at times and then this morning around 3am it sounded like we were in the midst of war because the thunder was so loud and right outside the window. Sleep – Ha I used to be able to sleep so well through a thunderstorm but I can’t now. What’s up with the thunder in the middle of the night anyway. I guess it’s Spring so I might as well get used to it, we get about three or four weeks of this every year.
So out the door I go, it has stopped raining and I think the sun might just be trying to peak out of the clouds. The wind is so strong I am not sure if I should continue but I am going to try. I am putting in replacement windows in one of my long time customers houses, they need them bad – too much heat loss, big electric and gas bills etc… I just hope I don’t blow away the wind is screaming out there!
I wish I could post a quick video of my electric generating windmills today talk about spinning like crazy. The best part is there are no disasters of one of them flying apart during the storm this time! Oh, you didn’t hear about that? That’s another whole blog post! Let’s just say the giant, ready to fly across the farm, ninja star was a super exciting, adrenalin pumping, get your hard hat on, kinda day. I did manage to get it down safely and all was well. So today is a good day in that respect – no giant flying ninja stars.

That wind is really playing havoc all over the country this year. I love the thought of electric generating windmills.
With all the wind in Kansas you would think that would be more prevalent here.

We experienced a brief storm this morning here. It was came and went so suddenly. Weird!
I haven’t seen windmills move about during a storm. That would be interesting if you ever get a chance to record a video of it to share next time a storm blows through.
