Working In The Sun on The Porsche

We stayed up late last night and used the cappuccino machine to make some cool coffee drinks and watch some movies. Finally the sun came out today so we worked on the farm. I got the tractor out and smoothed the roads here on the farm to keep the mush stuff down to a minimum since all the snow melted. Then I went to the shop to help Trina she had already started on the finishing of our latest project…

We had put it off for a little while, busy I guess and it was put on the back burner. The project is the total rebuild of a 1971 Porsche 911 T coupe. The car was taken apart completely and stripped to bare metal. We had brought it home in body bags and it had no glass and was an ugly warn out red color. It took three trips with the enclosed trailer and one with the car trailer to bring the main piece on the chassis.

We had the front bumper that needed to be gone over and taken to bare metal and the back deck lid done the same way so we have been working on that for the last few weekends. I have a few photos of the car in the almost finished stage. We worked on it for over eight hours and didn’t even realize it! We had a great day and finished a lot of things on the car – it won’t be long and it will be finished and then we are building the windmill 🙂

So that’s what we have been working on in our spare time… LOL Spare time…
