As I get up this morning my first thought is about global warming. What happened to all the talk about it? Is it still happening?
I don’t know about the rest of the country but it is Cold here… I don’t think global warming is affecting this area. The low temperature was 42 last night, it has to be some kind of record. After all this is the middle of May.
In fact it has been so cold that many of the vegetables we planted didn’t come up! All the Lima beans, peppers and cantaloupe have to be replanted this week.
We are still wearing jackets here and running the fire place at night.
My second thought is… It is good working weather, the highs have been in the sixties. That is perfect to work in.

This year is just crazy with strange weather. It was cold here last week with night time temps in the 30s. Today it’s 93 and humid as heck. We just can’t seem to get the “normal” for this time of year kind of weather.
I hope it warms up for the sake of all your crops.

Well, we drove home from Phoenix today where it was 100 degrees but that’s just ordinary May weather for Arizona. And so far, it’s been for the most part a delightfully cool spring here in Socal. I’m thinking in ten years, global warming will be on the trash heap pf urban myths but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
