Tuesday’s Thoughts

Once again it is hotter than hell here, The rain comes right up to the fields and says “Nope, not supposed to rain there”! Now if I was to cut hay it would have poured for sure.

I am having fun this summer so far it is a bit hot – I wonder sometimes if I should have taken the offer to sail up the coast to Martha’s Vineyard for the summer and use a free mooring – I bet it’s cooler there. But Oh well, I am now the Pumpkin man. hehehe

I am late posting today because one of my customers has a cat that tears up the screen door. This definitely requires emergency attention! My first thought is how did this cat figure out how to open it? The little guy uses his paw and slides the screen door open.
I spent the morning with the window rep at their house fixing some of the windows we put in a few years back that are giving them trouble (My warranty is for the life time of the contractor, I figure after that you’re on your own!) While I was there I fixed the screen and made an over the screen protector smoothed it out and it even has a place for good ole Jack the cat to still open the door without ruining anything.

Then I had to stop by the crop duster’s house to find out if I was on the shit list or if he was going to spray for me. Turns out a little miss-communication was happening. A few years back he sprayed all the trees for Bag Worms and they can’t do this any longer because of the liability and he thought that was what I wanted done. So I had to go over it all again with him and tell him which fields to spray… My thought is I wrote it down and gave a sketch and it didn’t say bomb the house and trees! Oh well he will he here in the morning.

I have started a cool new project… I know, now what?
A new customer has an old canoe the really nice wood ones that are covered in a skin and then the skin is shrunk to fit after installed and then you finish it out with whatever color you want it to be.
It goes along with the same principle as the way the Indians did their’s. I will add a few photos so you can see it. My first thought on this is how in the heck do I keep coming up with all these crazy projects. I am beginning to think the people on the Delmarva Peninsula say “Oh that’s special, you should take it to Paul (aka Wolfbernz) he’ll fix it no problem. I really don’t mind doing boat repair because I don’t have to leave the farm, they bring the work to me.
