So is it bad that all I can think about is getting enough money together to hit the road again!?
Don’t get me wrong I have had so much fun tearing down the tractor motor…. Mowing the fields getting ready to plant them… LOL you believe me right?
I worked this last week on a customers house, their roof was in need of repair something awful, it was a good change of pace from what I have been doing I uploaded a couple photos.
I didn’t take a completed photo with the moldings under the roof but you can see what we had to go through to get this right… Clean, scrape, clean etc…
What a mess but it is much better now 🙂 and I can squirrel a few of the dollars away for the next adventure. I have never wanted to just be on the move before but after this last trip I can’t shake the feeling.
My first thought this Tuesday is that the sailboat is fun to take out of the slip but not really because we are not really going anywhere… We have to come right back! I enjoy cruising the bay but it just makes me that much eager to go on another adventure.
The second thought of the day is Today is my grandson’s third birthday, we have been staying at my sons the last few days helping out. It has been fun and I can’t wait to hang out with Jacob tonight and see the rest of the family. So I wonder, is it really necessary to buy giant presents for one that is only three? I don’t think so because their attention span is so short they won’t even remember what happened in a week. I think at this age it is more about small things – cake and fun with family this is much more important and is long remembered and shapes the young ones to be family oriented.

Sounds like you have been working really hard but you have managed to have fun to! That’s good! Being a grandparent is so much fun that I wish I had done it first. I have eight grandchildren now!

Well, happy birthday to your grandson! Hope you all have a fun family time together. I think the party activities at that age are more memorable than any toys, too…at that age, my kids often forgot about their toys within a week after getting them. But they never forget the fun they had playing with other kids at the party. It’s like “Can we have a party again” more than “Where did my present go?” LOL!
Three year olds are so much fun. You are right about the gift. A couple of little Hot Wheels means as much as a huge something. They have no concept of cost. They like little things they can roll around.
I totally understand why you would be feeling the need to travel again. After a trip it is nearly a let down to have to get back into the routine of living a normal life again. Sorta life the let down the day after Christmas.
That roof was in bad shape. Thank goodness they called you.
It’s interesting … I’ve never had the wanderlust so it’s hard for me to relate. And at my age, that will probably never change. We are here in AZ where it was 107 today. One thing keeps us here … grandkids. I love to by gifts for the kids but it is difficult to find a balance. However, my grandkids remember everything.
