Tuesday’s Thoughts

We have landed in Florida, as you may have read in a previous post. I am behind in posting about our trip and travels because we have been busy gathering our things and making sure the sailboat can be left unattended as we go home for the holidays.

This Tuesday’s first thought is What the heck was I thinking when I booked the flights!?! Am I crazy or what?

It is seventy degrees today in Florida and at home it it twenty five… OMG! We are going to freeze to death after getting used to the warm weather. I have my long underwear and my down jacket ready to go – we leave at five thirty in the morning from Jacksonville and arrive at twelve thirty at Baltimore-Washington airport. Everything is ready and packed, the boat is prepped and everything put away, batteries are charged… I will still worry though I don’t like the thought of leaving the boat for an extended period of time.

The second thought is, even though is will be colder than you know what, I can’t wait to see the grand kid! Jacob is going to be a ton of fun and this will be the first Christmas we have spent with him so I can hardly wait. They are picking us up at the airport tomorrow and we will be staying with them for the week and we’ll be visiting the kids for the holidays. Then after Christmas we will be heading back to the sailboat in Florida… Warm weather so I guess a little snow won’t hurt and it will feel like Christmas too. Here, where it is warm, it doesn’t seem the same on the holidays for some reason.
