Once again it’s Top Sites Tuesday… Time goes by so fast!
It has been so hot and I am out in the sun each day sweating and dizzy loosing my mind from the heat.
But why is it when I go to the grocery store on the way home dizzy and half mindless from the heat a friend walks up and says ” What are you doing?” I say with a smile “laundry do you have any quarters?” Or I answer the phone while I am obviously on the tractor and it’s “Dad what are you doing?… ” “I am using the tractor to vacuum the carpet”!
My favorite is when I am at an event and someone walks up and says “What are you doing now?” I love this… “Skinny dipping on a remote island where none of you all can be found!”
So as I said I have been working in the heat, I came home tired – long day. I was a little down it started to rain I wanted to continue working because the sun was behind the clouds. It was still hot but the sun wasn’t terrible.
I walk into the living room turn the corner and all I can do is SMILE 😀 there it is a brand new surf board my son had bought when he went to the beach. He came and took my old board to the beach I have been telling him I wanted a new one and what I really wanted to have and, well, I love that kid! He took my old board and traded it it for this new one… All I want to do is go surfing now… Screw this working crap it’s not all it’s cracked up to be anyway…LOL It sounds good but I guess I will have to wait until this weekend if I don’t work I don’t pay bills and eat.
If you think it’s hard to go to your job try being self employed and having to be self motivated and not just say the heck with it I am off to the beach!
What a nice treat to come home to though… Surfs up!

You are really amazing. Is there anything you don’t do? Surfing, sailing, construction, farming, computers. Holy crap, Wolf, you are a renaissance man.
This heat is beating the crud out of everyone. It is difficult to stay motivated. It is going to be 101 (real air temp, 112 heat index) today in KC. We aren’t close to anything that would support surfing. It’s even too hot to sit out at the pool.

Sounds to me like the sun has had a long term effect on your choice of humorous comebacks. I certainly understand your comment about motivation when you’re self employed. Wait until you’re self-semi-retired!
