Some of you are bloggers and then some of you use a blog to drive traffic to your web site.
I have no real position on this part of the subject, we all have and do our own thing!
I do want to share with you on online approach of getting a business started online.
The first thing to do is to create a blog… A blog, for those who don’t understand, is either an online journal written by someone who wants to share their daily lives and thoughts or it is written by the savvy business person that is trying to market their product in this over crowded internet .
You can create a free blog just about anywhere now-a-days, but most free blogs will not allow ads and certain things that help with the monitization of your blog. My suggestion is to hop on over to BlogDumps.com and create your blog there for free. It comes with all the goodies you will need to get started and there are no restrictions to how you monitize your new blog.
If you have an existing website, this is a perfect way to write articles – blog posts as they say – about your services, E-Book or product you are trying to promote. The more you write, the better your traffic will get, obviously.
If you haven’t gone out and spent a ton of money with a web designer yet then WAIT!
Other people have different approaches but the one I take is to start a blog in the niche or marketing area of the product you want to sell.
Create a PayPal account, verify it, and learn to use the merchant services and create buy now buttons so people can buy your product. Now you can write about your product and offer it for sale in the same post

Now go to all the blog directories and brand your site by adding your new blog to all the free directories, there are a ton of free ones… I am partial to BlogDumps because I am the founder, I want everyone to join and I am all about promotion. But there are some other good ones like BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, and BlogSkinny. Go get a Twitter account (Twitter is the latest, greatest microblogging resource) and look for other bloggers to network with.
Ok, now you’re saying why? Well, now you have become friends with other people that blog and that have the same interest as you. You can go to their sites, leave relevant comments and get back links to your blog. Is this important? YES!
Ok, so now let’s see, you have spent $0.00 to get this done. You have a free blog. You can sell your product. You are making friends, getting backlinks and traffic to your site – not bad so far right? It seems to be affordable so far right….
I know, you want to know What’s the Catch!? I will tell you — you have to spend four to five hours a week and write.
I know, I said the same thing… Write? What the heck do I write about??? You know your product and what it does and how it works better than anyone so…. WRITE.
So now you are on the web and you are gaining readers, followers, and if you are on BlogDumps with your blog you started out with a page rank in Google. What’s next? You start looking for your own URL – your domain name.com – I would do that when you start your blog just in case someone else gets it first.
So Now what? You have your own domain.com
Lets recap, you have been working with WordPress, you know it really well and so far you have spent nothing!
If you are doing well and you have made the commitment and met the goals you set for yourself, it is time for the next step.
