Fourth of July

It was a mile-stone day for our family! My son and his son were all able to be together on the Fourth of July.
We had a great time with the kids … LOL I say kids, they are all grown now. They put up a slip and slide and put baby oil and water on it!

Everyone played in the pool, staying cool on the mildly hot day. Then the fire works truck came by and we all bought some sky rockets and mortars that shoot up in the sky and blow up into these cool colors, it was a lot of fun.

We did have a fire patrol after the fireworks were blown off, it hasn’t rained for some time here so we had fired them off in the front hay field where it was green. We still had to use a few buckets of water and stop a few small fires from spreading!

All the guests were great! There were so many I was shocked at how well and good everyone was in keeping the house from being a disaster. I just knew I woulod be cleaning for days but it seemed as though everyone was pitching in all day… Yes we went all day and into the night. I am so glad I wasn’t drinking! The ones that were stayed here or had a designated driver and those that didn’t drink went home.

All in all it was a great day. I guess I should have taken a ton of photos but I am so bad about that. But I did get one of my son and his son finally together on the farm and one of Jacob napping next to the slip-n-slide!
