I am up early today I have to go to a Panera Bread for a morning meeting! I know that sounds awful right?
Not really I am looking forward to it. Between work and looking at different construction jobs, working on the web it is a good change from the regular morning 🙂 I hear they have a good breakfast there.
Fist thought of the day is I love the coffee beans I received for Father’s Day… We have a commercial espresso machine in the kitchen. I know it sounds strange but we kept it from when we owned the coffee shop.
I love the smell of fresh ground coffee in the morning 🙂 remember the jingle… “The best part of waking up…” LOL
So I am in the easy chair sipping my coffee, up early, it’s really nice out. It has been raining so everything planted is green across the fields. There is a big hawk sitting on a fence post enjoying the peace and quiet of the farm life.
After the rush of last week – finishing one of the jobs, Trina’s Birthday and then Father’s day with everyone over to the house – it seems as though it should be later in the week already. I did have a great Father’s day 🙂
That brings me to my next thought. I wish I could have as much energy as Jacob the two year old grandson, I know it’s hard to believe at thirty nine I am a Granddad, LOL. Jacob is in the “what is that stage”
OMG! Ask me again what is that???!!!
He seems to be like the energizer bunny rabbit and never stops. What happens to all that energy? Is it that it gets dispersed into to many directions and not as concentrated as we grow up?
I have a lot of fun hanging out though. It’s great to teach and explain new things, spoil him and give him back to his parents. I took this photo at breakfast.

Jacob is adorable. We also, have a grandson that is firmly in the why stage. There seems to be no end to the number of questions that need a why? involved in it.
Who would of thought that grandparenting could be this much fun.

Enjoy the “what’s that?” phase … next comes the “Why?” phase. Then, when he’s a little older, he’ll ask the really embarrassing questions. But it’s all fun, that’s for sure.
